Ferry Across The Gannel
Original Contemporary Cornish Landscape Painting by Cornish Artist Diane Griffiths.
Acrylic and enamel on canvas with painted sides, 61x50cm/24×20″ (2017).
There is nothing quite like crossing the Gannel at the bottom of the Fern Pit Cafe and either heading to Crantock beach or back down the Gannel towards the boating lake. Here the tide is low so I can cross the bridge, but the ferry boat is waiting for high tide so it can be of use. The blues, greens and bright sand join together deliciously as your eye is taken through the picture.
