2022 Round Up

It's been a busy year. It's always tricky juggling my day job and a growing art business, but great when the two can combine and two of my artwork images were printed and hung within the Poland Street (the London offices of the company I work for; Tag Worldwide) in their first art gallery project to promote and show-off the artistic talent within the company.
I've also enjoyed taking part in a couple of Cornish charity projects. The first being a Bude 'Art Extravaganza' with a 'Spot the Artist' hand painted postcard sale to support the Bude Sea Pool. The second project was for Cornwall Hospice Care and 40 artists around Cornwall painted a milk churn donated from Roddas which was displayed as a trail around Cornwall in the summer (mine was coincidently also at Bude!) and then auctioned at Truro Cathedral in September. My churn was purchased by The Headland Hotel and currently sits on the Grand Piano in the main reception area.
As Publicity Officer for the Newquay Society of Artists it's also been a busy year with artist demonstrations and three exhibitions at Trenance Cottages, The Hotel Bristol and Padstow Memorial Hall.
I also took part in the Tretherras Winter Craft Fayre with my artist friend Claire Reid, something which is becoming a bit of an annual tradition, it's a lovely jolly weekend and great to meet so many local people who appreciate our art.
I was also asked to be part of Sloth Studios, a new gallery opened this year on Newquay high street, and have a wide selection of prints and some original paintings available for sale.
It's been a busy end to the year with quite a few commissions, including another milk churn and a bulk order of my hand painted ceramic baubles.
I'm also excited to annouce that I will have a selection of my hand painted gifts available for sale at the shop at Pencarrow House near Bodmin. More on that next year ;-)
All that's left is to wish you a very Happy New Year!
