Cornwall Christmas Market 2024 - Prep
This year, for the first time, I'm taking part in the Cornwall Christmas Market at the Royal Cornwall Event Centre, Wadebridge.
I'm looking forward to immersing myself in the world of a traditional Christmas market. As well as a wealth of artisan gifts we will also be treated a selection of Christmas food and drink, a giant Christmas tree, reindeer, carol singers, street performers, and some people may want to visit Santa himself!

I'll have all my usual goodies for sale, with the ability to customise some of my hand painted items/baubles. I'll also have some new surprises in store! More information coming soon!
It's November and it’s time to start the prep work for the Cristmas market - there is a lot to do! I’ve started to pull together the core elements for my stand; ironed the black cloth and set up the table, superglued my bauble displays together (they have a tendency to fall apart) and painted black. Also lots of bauble prep (including some new colours), and starting to design how I want to show them off. I can’t envisage how it’s all going to look yet, but I’m enjoying the process.
This week I’m finishing my first batch of baubles and designing how they might look. I’ve also created a little display for my magnets and keyrings out of an old photo frame. I’ve also ordered a table sign and a little photo book for display. It’s getting serious!
Now I'm figuring out how to show off my baubles on the stall - I want to use approximately half the table for my baubles - but as I have a few different sizes I want to get the display right. If you are wondering whether those little brown dishes are the ones you have melted cheese in? Yes, they are!
