Surf Classic Collab - Hand Painted Mini Boards
I love it when you discover a high quality product. After receiving a beautiful blank body board from Surf Classic® I knew I wanted to do gift-size versions of these well-crafted boards. After reaching out to Derek at Surf Classic® he was excited to help me design and produce branded, scaled replicas of Surf Classic® belly boards and surfboards.
Shaped on their original Cornish electro-team belly board press they make high quality, strong and individually unique boards. I enjoyed receiving photos of the production process and was looking forward to putting my extra stamp on them by painting the boards in my surfer beachscape style. Similar to my other hand painted gifts I use oil and acrylic to build up the layers and add in the surfers, then finish with iridescent glitter and clear gloss varnish.
Today you can see pictures of completed test boards but I have my main batch in progress and they will be available for sale later this year. We’re also going to do some even smaller boards, more information on those coming soon.
