Artists & Illustrators We Present Feature - May 2025

It’s lovely to have this follow-up article in Artists and Illustrators magazine May-25 issue following ‘The People’s Choice Award 2024’ at the end of last year. Featured in the ‘We Present’ section and paired with my painting ‘The Moonlit Bay at St Michael's Mount’, it’s a nice summary bringing to light a couple of areas of my art life.

“This artist brings Cornwall’s landscapes to life, blending texture, warmth and imagination.” The article goes on to talk about my school beginnings, through to my career in London and escape to Cornwall in 2017. Next it talks a bit about how I get my inspiration, through to the Newquay Society of Artists community - an inspiring and important network for me. It’s tough being an artist and I can’t stress enough how great it’s been to grow a network of people I can reach out to for art-related activities. Being an artist can be very isolating, but now I feel like I have a community I can turn to for support, to be influenced by, to share things with and to reinforce that whatever happens, I must keep on going.

“...Diane’s journey embodies resilience, adaptability and a touch of coastal inspiration.” That is 100% true!

Unfortunately they missed off an 's' in Griffiths - but it's a lovely write-up.
